AP Gov Winter Break Work
Due Wed. Jan. 15th
1) Complete and study the SCOTUS Court Cases Graphic Organizer (attached below). This may involve accessing our Supreme Court documentary mini-videos on YouTube to watch (or re-watch) or doing research on your own using sites like oyez.org. We also have the Google Doc of research that should be a great resource to you. You will have an assessment on Unit 4 (Ch. 16, 4, and 5) when you return and court cases will be particularly important.
2) Final exam metacognition (MC and FRQs). Use metacognition forms for both.
3) Watch and take notes on Episode 2 of Constitution USA (run time of approx. 55 mins):
http://www.pbs.org/tpt/constitution-usa-peter-sagal/watch/its-a-free-country/
It is a very interesting episode that covers the Bill of Rights and real life applications addressed in court cases such as Snyder v. Phelps (Westboro Baptist case), as well as freedom of religion, eminent domain, privacy/security, etc.
